Ziro, July 19, 2025:
In a gesture of respect and collaboration, police officers from Ziro Police Station and the Women Police Station, Ziro, paid a warm courtesy visit to welcome the newly joined Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Ziro, Miss Tenzin Metho. The visit was led by Millo Lalyang, Officer-in-Charge of Ziro Police Station, and Amo Pansa, Officer-in-Charge of the Women Police Station, Ziro. The visit took place at the CJM Court premises and marked the beginning of a renewed commitment to cooperative justice delivery and enhanced law enforcement in the region.

Miss Tenzin Metho, a dynamic and experienced judicial officer, has taken charge as the Hon’ble CJM of Ziro. Her appointment is seen as a significant step toward strengthening the justice system in Lower Subansiri. The police team, led by senior officers, conveyed their best wishes and assured full cooperation in upholding the rule of law and ensuring timely justice for the public.
The interaction focused on fostering a strong working relationship between the judiciary and the police, especially in sensitive cases involving women, children, and vulnerable communities. Officers from the Women Police Station expressed hope that under the guidance of the new CJM, cases pertaining to domestic violence, trafficking, sexual assault, and cybercrime would receive even more timely and effective judicial attention.
This visit is not only symbolic of mutual respect between law enforcement and the judiciary but also crucial for strengthening coordination in handling legal matters. A cordial and communicative relationship between the two institutions ensures smoother investigation processes, improved legal procedures, and better protection of victims’ rights.
Such interactions also motivate police personnel, especially women officers, by giving them the opportunity to engage meaningfully with the judiciary and understand evolving legal expectations. It also opens avenues for regular dialogues, workshops, and capacity-building programs for police officers on matters related to legal procedure, human rights, and victim support.
The Ziro Police’s welcoming gesture reflects the shared vision of both institutions—to build a fair, transparent, and efficient justice system for all.
