Ziro, July 30 | A one-day Capacity Building Workshop-cum-Review Meeting on“Community Mobilization and Roles and Responsibilities” was held at Valley View Hotel, Hapoli, organized by Samagra Shiksha, Lower Subansiri.
The workshop saw participation from 47 SMC and SMDC members across the district, aiming to strengthen their role in school governance as per the RTE Act.
In his keynote, Mr. Punyo Chada, Coordinator, highlighted the committees’ crucial role in improving education quality,including monitoring teacher attendance and contributing to school development.
Mr.Kocho Jomoh, Dy. Director of School Education,stressed timely delivery of mid-day meals and uniforms, and urged committees to ensure accountability among teachers and school staff.
Key speakers included Mr. Nangram Kayum (DPC), Mr. Umesh Mishra (former DIET lecturer), and various school heads. The event featured interactive sessions and case-based discussions.
The workshop concluded with a feedback session and was praised for promoting community involvement in school management and enhancing educational outcomes in the region.
