Tragedy at Sainik School, Niglok: A young Class 7 student was found deceased in what police are investigating as an unnatural death. A case has been registered under Section 194 of the BNSS.
The school informed authorities that the death was initially suspected to be a suicide. However, the victim’s family has raised serious concerns, with the father alleging the boy may have been a victim of ragging by students in Classes VIII and X.

The body was located on the roof of an uncommissioned water tank after a search began when the student missed his morning physical training. While the post-mortem is pending to determine the official cause, SP Pankaj Lamba emphasized that no conclusion will be reached before the autopsy, which will take place in the presence of the boy’s parents. Community members demanded proper police inquiry and justice be served.
