Toko Tatung, the MLA for the 16th Yachuli Assembly Constituency, held a coordination meeting with key education officials for the Keyi Panyor District on Wednesday at his office in Chimpu. The meeting’s main goal was to assess the current state of education in the district and plan improvements for academic performance.

The session included high-ranking attendees such as the Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE), Block Education Officers (BEOs), and various resource coordinators and departmental staff.
In his address, Tatung stressed that improving education is a collective responsibility. He encouraged educators to be proactive right from the start of the school year to achieve significant results. “When teachers unite for the cause of education, no nation can be overlooked,” he stated, calling teachers “nation builders” who must collaborate closely with students and parents. He specifically suggested implementing mentorship programs to create a more inspiring and effective learning environment.
DDSE Koj Tajang echoed the MLA’s urgency, acknowledging the district’s recent poor academic performance. He challenged the teachers and administrators to “rise to the occasion” and ensure Keyi Panyor surpasses other districts in the next academic year.

Further enhancing the discussion, BRC Toko Vijay gave a detailed report on the educational situation, including updates on staff transfers, and urged coordinators to face challenges with renewed dedication. BEOs Chukhu Paje and Taba Guch also provided their departmental status reports and offered recommendations.
The meeting ended with a unanimous commitment from all officials to strengthen cooperation, ensure accountability, and introduce innovative solutions to elevate the quality of the education system across the district.
