Delhi Police and Helping Hands NGO have appealed to the public for assistance in identifying the body of a young woman discovered in Dwarka District, under Dabri Police Station limits. The body was recovered from inside a large jute bag near a park drain (nalah), raising serious concerns of foul play.
Preliminary observations suggest that the deceased may be from the Northeastern states, possibly a tribal female, and is estimated to be around 20 years old. The only distinctive feature found so far is a black tattoo of a heart (love) symbol with the letters “RR” inscribed on her body. Authorities believe she could be a college student or a young working woman, possibly residing around the Dwarka or Burari areas.
In an appeal issued by Robin Hibu, IPS, President of Helping Hands, families and communities from the Northeast have been urged to circulate the information widely in case any young woman is reported missing. “If the identification is established, please WhatsApp the details immediately so the body can be handed over to her family. Otherwise, Helping Hands will arrange for her burial in Dwarka graveyard,” the appeal states.
The body is currently in a swollen state, and a photograph of her face has been shared by Helping Hands solely for identification purposes. Authorities stress that the family’s confirmation is essential to ensure dignified last rites.
Anyone with information that may help in the identification of the deceased is requested to come forward at the earliest.
