Toko Rajesh, Accused in Minor’s Rape Case Still Absconding

09-02-2024, Deed Lower Subansiri: The accused, Toko Rajesh, forcefully entered the residence of the victim on January 21st at around 12 a.m. midnight, raped and physically molested her. An FIR was registered in Ziro Women’s Police Station on February 31st under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, however, till date the accused has not been arrested. Currently, the victim is undergoing mental shock as she was admitted in TRIHMS hospital, Naharlagun. The doctors have referred her to a larger facility outside the state as they stated it would not be possible to treat her at TRIHMS, said the representative of Likha Youth Association (LYA).
