Tage Rita Takhe is Honored with Business Achiever Award at Grihshobha Inspire Awards

Entrepreneur Tage Rita Takhe from Ziro Valley has been honored with the Business Achiever Award at the first-ever Grihshobha Inspire Awards, held on March 20 at Travancore Palace, New Delhi. Recognized for her pioneering work in India’s first kiwi winery, her venture, Naara Aaba Winery, has transformed the winemaking industry while promoting sustainable farming and economic growth for local communities.

Organized by Grihshobha, a leading women’s magazine under the Delhi Press Group, the event celebrated women who have made outstanding contributions across various sectors, including business, governance, entertainment, and social activism.

Tage Rita’s journey began as a bold initiative to make wine from Ziro’s abundant kiwi produce, and it has since grown into a successful enterprise that not only brings premium products to the market but also supports local farmers. Reflecting on her success, she expressed gratitude to the Delhi Press Group and credited her achievements to the encouragement of supporters and well-wishers.

Encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs, she shared an inspiring message:

“When you work with a clear goal, hard work and resilience pave the way. And soon enough, the awards will follow.”

The awards ceremony also celebrated notable women such as K K Shailaja, former Kerala health minister, for her contributions to public health, and Shabana Azmi, who was recognized for her impact in cinema and social advocacy. Dr. Soumya Swaminathan was named Nation Builder – Icon, while Suparna Mitra, CEO of Titan Watches, received the Business Leadership – Icon award. Other honorees included Ruma Devi, a champion of rural artisans, and Kiruba Munusamy, a legal activist working for social justice. In entertainment, Tillotama Shome and Konkona Sensharma were acknowledged for their contributions to Indian cinema.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including RTI activist Aruna Roy, senior advocate Indira Jaisingh, Kathak dancer Shovana Narayan, and women’s rights activist Subhashini Ali, who applauded the achievements of the awardees. The winners were selected by a respected jury comprising Sathya Saran, Padmapriya Janakiraman, Richa Shah, Nuriya Ansari, Dilshad Master, and Surabhi Kanga.

With this recognition, Tage Rita Takhe continues to inspire many as a trailblazer in business and sustainability, proving that innovation and tradition can go hand in hand to create lasting impact.
