In a commendable move aimed at uplifting the quality and accountability of government schools in Lower Subansiri district, a formal proposal has been submitted to the Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE), suggesting a series of practical measures to enhance transparency, communication, and stakeholder involvement. One of the primary recommendations includes the creation of official social media platforms—specifically, a Facebook page and WhatsApp group—for every government school. These platforms would serve as direct communication channels for sharing updates, achievements, and important announcements with parents, guardians, and the student community. To further strengthen public trust and encourage a performance-oriented culture, schools have also been urged to regularly upload student academic results, attendance records of both teachers and students, and monthly test reports. This level of transparency is expected to foster accountability and continuous improvement across all levels. Moreover, the proposal highlights the need for schools to actively disseminate information regarding government schemes and co-curricular activities through their official platforms, ensuring that the benefits reach the intended recipients without delay. Another key suggestion includes conducting quarterly meetings involving the School Management Committee (SMC), teaching staff, and parents. These regular interactions would help identify academic or infrastructural challenges, encourage collaborative decision-making, and strengthen the shared responsibility towards students’ educational progress. Proper documentation of these meetings would further ensure accountability and effective follow-up. Overall, the implementation of these measures is expected to significantly improve the overall performance of government schools in the district and foster a more engaged and informed school community.
