Yachuli, 17 Aug: In a significant development for the community of New Pania Village in Keyi Panyor district, Mrs. Likha Yoyum has been formally appointed as the new Goan Buri, a role of deep cultural, social, and administrative importance within Arunachal Pradesh’s traditional governance system.

Mrs. Yoyum, the wife of Shri Likha Tedi, assumes the position amid widespread appreciation and optimism among villagers, who have welcomed her appointment with great enthusiasm. Community members voiced confidence in her ability to lead with dedication, fairness, and compassion.
“I am deeply honoured and humbled to have been entrusted with this important responsibility,” said Mrs.Yoyum, addressing the gathering following her official appointment.“I sincerely thank the authorities and our community for the trust and confidence placed in me.”
She emphasized that being a Goan Buri is not merely a title, but a solemn pledge to serve the community with integrity.“I will work wholeheartedly to uphold our traditions, address the needs of our villagers, and promote unity and development in our area,” she added.
