Yachuli, 19 January 2025: A group of 25 kiwi farmers from Yachuli and Ziro embarked on a three-day Capacity Building for Adoption of Technology (CAT) visit to Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat, focusing on promoting beekeeping as a complementary activity under NABARD’s Farmer Sector Promotion Fund (FSPF).

Shri Suraj Gurung, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Yachuli, in the presence of Dr. Lalit Maurya, District Development Manager (DDM), NABARD, Dr. Hage Munth, Senior Scientist & Head KVK Yachuli, along with other scientists and officials, flagged off the group of farmers.
The visit, funded by NABARD and implemented by KVK Yachuli, aims to enhance farmers’ knowledge of modern beekeeping techniques and its integration with kiwi cultivation to improve pollination, yield, and income.
During their visit to AAU, farmers will engage with experts, participate in hands-on training sessions, and witness advanced beekeeping and agricultural practices. The initiative underscores NABARD’s commitment to empowering farmers through technology-driven and sustainable agricultural practices.
