12-12-2024, Ziro: Arunachal Pradesh has launched Mission Arun Himveer, a collaboration between the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board (APAMB), to empower farmers and strengthen rural economies.
The initiative ensures direct market access for farmers by allowing ITBP to procure fresh produce directly. This effort aims to boost farmers’ incomes, reduce wastage, and create a stable market, benefiting both the farming community and ITBP personnel in remote areas.
Launched in Itanagar with participation from Chief Minister Pema Khandu and other key leaders, the program promotes local economic development, reduces rural migration, and fosters stronger ties between ITBP and border communities.

The mission represents a transformative step toward agricultural self-reliance and sustainable development in Arunachal Pradesh.
