Al Lab Inaugurated in Ziro to Boost Al Education

Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh | March 7, 2025 – In a significant step towards advancing artificial intelligence (Al) education in Arunachal Pradesh, a state-of-the-art Al Lab was inaugurated at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre, Nara Pabu, Hong Village, Ziro. The initiative, spearheaded by Helping Hands in collaboration with Techno Billion Al, aims to introduce Al literacy among students and educators, equipping them with essential skills for the digital era.

The Al Lab will offer a three-month course on the Fundamentals of Al, designed to help students and faculty gain foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence. The program is expected to provide hands-on learning experiences, making Al education more accessible and practical for learners in the region.

Empowering Students Through Al Learning

Techno Billion Al, India’s first all-in-one Generative Al platform for educational institutions, has partnered with Helping Hands to integrate Al education into school and college curricula. The collaboration focuses on bridging the Al knowledge gap by offering specialized courses that enhance students’ understanding of Al and its applications.

Speaking at the event, a representative from Helping Hands highlighted the importance of Al literacy in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape. “With Al shaping the future of industries worldwide, it is crucial that students from all backgrounds, including those from remote areas like Ziro, have access to quality Al education,” they stated.

Hackathon Sparks Innovation

As part of the inauguration, an Inter-School/ College Hackathon was organized under the theme “Spreading Awareness on Al Education in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh.” The event encouraged students to explore Al-driven solutions and develop innovative ideas that promote Al literacy.

Institutions were invited to send top-performing students and teachers to participate in the hackathon, fostering collaboration and competition among young Al enthusiasts. Participants engaged in problem-solving challenges, showcasing their creativity and understanding of Al applications.

A Vision for the Future

The Al Lab at Mahatma Gandhi Centre is expected to play a key role in digital empowerment, benefiting not just students but also teachers and local communities.

Organizers expressed their hope that this initiative would pave the way for more Al-driven educational programs across Arunachal Pradesh.

The event was an initiative of Robin Hibu, a well-known advocate for social and educational development in the region. His efforts, along with the collaboration between Helping Hands and Techno Billion Al, reflect a strong commitment to fostering technological advancements in Arunachal Pradesh.

With the launch of the Al Lab, Ziro is now positioned as a hub for Al learning, providing students with the opportunity to explore, innovate, and prepare for the future in an Al-driven world.
