Ziro, August 2, 2025 – The 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme was launched today by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The event was live-streamed across the nation, including at the Abotani Hall in Hapoli, Ziro, where 450 beneficiaries from Lower Subansiri district gathered to witness the occasion.

The district-level program saw the presence of Smti Oli Perme, Deputy Commissioner of Lower Subansiri; Shri Pura Dollo, Zilla Parishad Chairperson; Shri Tasso Butung, District Agriculture Officer; along with Zilla Parishad Members (ZPMs), officials, and PRI members.
During the launch, the Prime Minister digitally disbursed approximately ₹20,500 crore to over 9.7 crore farmers across the country. Lower Subansiri district currently has 4,161 registered beneficiaries under the PM-KISAN scheme.
The PM-KISAN initiative continues to serve as a crucial support system for small and marginal farmers by providing direct income support of ₹6,000 per year in three equal installments. The event reinforced the government’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector and ensuring timely support to the farming community.
