A major initiative aimed at empowering youth from the Northeast has been launched with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NEXT IAS Institute and Helping Hands NGO in New Delhi on March 18, 2026.
The collaboration, under the banner of North East Civil Services Talent Discovery and Access Mission (NECTDAM), seeks to identify and support serious and deserving candidates from Northeast states preparing for the Civil Services Examination. The programme is backed by a ₹5 crore Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund and is being described as a unique and comprehensive approach to UPSC coaching.
As part of the initiative, selected aspirants will receive personal guidance from retired IAS, IPS, and IES officers, along with expert faculty mentorship. The programme will include personalized mentoring with fortnightly performance assessments, 3D-based interview training, live mock examinations, and advanced Artificial Intelligence-driven performance analysis to ensure continuous improvement.
The initiative also promises world-class infrastructure and facilities, along with dedicated hostel accommodation for non-Delhi candidates during the coaching period. Emphasis will be placed on discipline, ethics, empathy, and a commitment to giving back to society through an intensive year-long mentorship programme.
The programme will be led under the mentorship of B. Singh, an Ex-IITian and CMD of NEXT IAS Institute, with additional guidance from senior officers including Bhim Sain Bassi, who will conduct interactive sessions, particularly for interview preparation.
The MoU was signed by Er. B. Singh and Robin Hibu, President of Helping Hands NGO. The organisers stated that application details and scholarship procedures will be announced soon, including access through a QR code.
Preference will be given to meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds, especially female aspirants. Additionally, 10 percent of seats will be reserved for children of martyrs from the Armed Forces and Police, while 5 percent will be allocated to deserving candidates from sports backgrounds.
The initiative aims to nurture talented youth from the Northeast and support their journey into prestigious services such as IAS, IPS, IFS, and other state civil services, contributing towards stronger governance and nation-building.
