The Yachuli Town Baptist Church(YTBC),a prominent spiritual institution under the Yachuli Pastoral Range of the Nyishi Baptist Church Council (NBCC),celebrated its 37th Church Foundation Day on Monday with a solemn and spiritually enriching programme held at the church premises.
Established in 1989 with the enduring motto“Saved to Serve,” the church observed the occasion under the biblical theme,“But instead be examples of good Christian living for the flock”(1 Peter 5:13).The theme reaffirmed the church’s unwavering commitment to servant leadership,moral integrity,and exemplary Christian living.
A major highlight of the celebration was the dedication of the Church Leadership for the 2026-2028 term,symbolising continuity, accountability, and renewed spiritual stewardship within the congregation.
The programme commenced with the formal assembly of worshippers, followed by the ceremonial reception of ministers and invited guests.

The church flag was hoisted by Mr.Toko Vijoy, Chairman of the Deacon Board, after which a vibrant session of praise and worship was led by the Church Women’s Department.
Addressing the gathering, special invitee Dr.Toko Onuj, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of HPDCAPL, delivered an inspiring message highlighting the enduring role of the church in nurturing faith, fostering unity, and upholding ethical values amidst the challenges of contemporary society.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Mr.Pisa Loku,Range Pastor of the Yachuli Pastoral Range,Mr. Likha Tagu, Chairman of the Organising Committee,Joram Sala and Joram Elyu, former ZPMs, along with senior church members and leaders.

The celebration was further enriched by cultural presentations that reflected the congregation’s spiritual vibrancy and the harmonious blending of Christian faith with indigenous heritage.
The programme concluded with a fellowship lunch, providing an opportunity for shared gratitude and communal bonding.The milestone celebration marked not only the passage of time but also the deepening of faith,fellowship, and service within the Yachuli Town Baptist Church community.
