Helping Hands has been conferred with the prestigious Custodian of Humanity Award 2025 by the Global Healthcare Consortium of India, in a ceremony held at the Parliament Constitution Club, Speaker Hall, New Delhi. This national recognition was awarded in appreciation of the organization’s relentless and compassionate efforts in supporting people from the northeastern states residing in cities across India. The award ceremony witnessed participation from top medical colleges, healthcare corporate houses, and leading health sector manufacturers from across the country, all of whom expressed a strong willingness to extend their outreach to the health sector in the northeastern region.
The award stands as a testament to the tireless work of Helping Hands in assisting those in need—especially Northeastern citizens who often face isolation and hardship while seeking opportunities far from home. Speaking on the occasion, the representative of Helping Hands dedicated the award to all the volunteers and members of the organization across India. He acknowledged their quiet, selfless service, stating that without their efforts, “many Northeastern people would have perished in anonymity, and thousands would have wept silently without succour and hope during their moments of despair in the heartless cities where they came in search of bread and butter.”
This recognition not only honors the past contributions of Helping Hands but also serves as a source of motivation for the team to continue their noble mission—bringing hope, dignity, and support to the Northeastern community living away from home.
