Ziro, September 8, 2025 – The historic Cabinet Aapke Dwar programme was convened today at the Mini Secretariat Building, Ziro, under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu, with Deputy Chief Minister Shri Chowna Mein, Cabinet Ministers, Chief Secretary, senior officials, MLAs, district administration officers, and other dignitaries in attendance.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated two major projects – the Gyati Taka General Hospital, Ziro, and the Office of the Superintending Engineer, Subansiri Basin, Department of Hydropower Development. He also laid foundation stones for several landmark initiatives, including:
Accommodation facilities for government officers and staff across districts A multi-layer parking facility at Hapoli Township A multipurpose convention hall at Abotani Club, Hapoli An artificial turf ground at Padi Yubbe Outdoor Stadium, Ziro A new Circuit House at Ziro Road improvement works in Ziro township
For the first time, a paperless Cabinet meeting was held at the Mini Secretariat using the e-Cabinet app, where several major policy decisions were adopted. These include:
Regulation of hoardings and advertisements in urban areas through the Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Control on Advertisement Regulation, 2025 Introduction of property tax in notified urban areas under IMC and Pasighat Municipal Council Amendments to the Recruitment Rules of the Departments of IPR, Labour & Employment, and Agriculture (superseding the 1999 rules) Rationalisation of Finance & Accounts Officer and Treasury Officer recruitment rules Creation of a new PWD Sub-Division at Nyapin under Sangram Division Amendment of the Arunachal Pradesh Land Settlement and Record Rules, 2012, extending government land allotment to 99 years (50 years initially + 49 years renewal) Establishment of new fire stations at Mebo, Kimin, Deomali, and Lumla Approval of the Arunachal Pradesh Urban and Country Amendment Bill, 2025 for planned urban growth Establishment of a Government Science and Commerce College at Ziro
The day’s proceedings reflected the government’s commitment to decentralised governance and citizen-centric development under the leadership of the Chief Minister.
