ITANAGAR: Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta, Deputy Commissioner of Itanagar Capital Complex and Nodal Officer for NH-415, expressed disappointment during her inspection of Highway (Package B) work from Pappu Nallah to Nirjuli on Monday.

DC Mehta, accompanied by highway officers and representatives of TK Engineering and Consortium Pvt. Limited (TKECPL), voiced concerns over the sluggish pace of work, causing inconvenience to commuters. She urged TKECPL to expedite the project’s progress.

TKECPL assured that work from Pappu Nallah-Jollang tri-junction would commence on May 8. However, DC Mehta emphasized that quality should not be compromised and urged timely completion.

Teams were assigned to monitor specific tasks, including bitumen concrete layering, pothole repairs, flyover construction, and service road maintenance.

DC Mehta vowed personal oversight alongside officials to ensure progress. Stakeholders were urged to uphold responsibilities, especially with the monsoon approaching.

The Project Manager of TKECPL was directed to devise a detailed plan for timely implementation, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion and improve road quality from Yupia tri-junction to Mithun gate.
