ITANAGAR, 15 Apr: The state BJP has strongly condemned the recent killing of one of its workers, Tenzin Libasow, at the 14th Mile labour camp near Tenga in West Kameng district, and demanded that the investigation authorities expedite the probe and ensure early arrest of those involved in the murder.

In a press release, it said that it has submitted a representation to the chief electoral officer here “for placing preventive measures and arresting any kind of possible flare-ups or eruptions of clan/communal disharmony.”

“We demand that the authorities must arrest all the people involved in this inhuman act of crime,” it added.

Stating that it would not rest until justice is given to the deceased and his bereaved family, the party urged its workers to “not fall prey to provocations from other political parties and antisocial elements and respect the rule of law.”

Extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the party said, “We assure that justice shall be done in accordance with the law of our country.”
