Arunachal govt announces 4 percent DA hike for its employees

Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government has announced a 4% increase in dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief for its employees, which will be effective from January 1.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday.

This decision will benefit 68,818 state government employees and 33,200 pensioners.

With this hike, the DA for employees and dearness relief for pensioners has now reached 50%. The state will incur an additional expenditure of Rs 124.20 crore per year due to this increase.

Chief Minister Khandu, expressing commitment to citizens’ welfare, including government service providers, tweeted, “Under the guidance of Hon PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, our double-engine sarkar is committed to the welfare of all citizens, including those dedicated to delivering government services.”

He also encouraged everyone to continue working diligently for the all-round, inclusive growth of Arunachal Pradesh.
