On 07/12/23 the Ziro Police team arrested 2 drug peddlers under the supervision of SP Keni Bagra.
The arrest was made during a random checking at Hill top colony,Hapoli by a team comprising SI(P’s) K.Yigam, R.Nako and Ct P.Moidam*
The team intercepted one Shri Binya Taye driving in a santro vehicle and conducted suprise checking of the vehicle. Upon search 5 no.s of plastic vials containing suspected heroin weighing 5.33 gms was recovered from his possession. Based on the revelations of the alleged accused B.Taye the team reached the rental apartment of another alleged accused Hiba Chachung and conducted search.
During search a total of 24 plastic vials containing suspected heroin and weighing 26.26 gms,an amount of Rs 40000 which is considered to be sale proceeds were seized from his possession in presence of independent witnesses.
Accordingly a case has been registered under appropriate sections of NDPS ACT and endorsed to SI(P) J . Yomcha for investigation.
